It is officially grilling season! One of my favorite things to grill is pork ribs. Here is one of my favorite recipes for fall off the bone grilled pork spare ribs featuring Smithfield® Extra Tender Fresh Pork Spareribs that I scooped up at Walmart Online Grocery Pickup. This recipe is perfect to make at home for you or your whole family. Now that we're cooking from home more often it's great to have an easy restaurant quality recipe at your house.

Before making my ribs I went over to  MeatYourMatch.com For some tips from Pitmaster Ernest Servantes. There I learned that,"When your ribs are wrapped in foil, lift the ribs on the grill to see if they are done. If ribs are stiff when lifted, they are not ready. When there is a bend in the ribs when lifted, the ribs are ready." Definitely check out that link for great tips and other recipes.

Here’s what you need:

  • Rib Rub Mix. You can use the recipe below or a premixed store-bought rub

  • Rib Glaze

  • Aluminum Foil

  • An oven sheet pan.

  • Your grill

The Rub:

  • 3 Tablespoons of Kosher Salt

  • 1 Tablespoon of smoked paprika

  • 1/2 Teaspoon of black pepper

  • 1 Tablespoon garlic powder

  • 1 Tablespoon of turbinado sugar

  • 1/ 2 Teaspoon cayenne pepper

The Glaze:

  1. 3 Tablespoons of honey

  2. 1 Tablespoon of sriracha

  3. Juice of 1 small lime (about 1 Tablespoon.)

  4. 1 in. piece of ginger, minced

What you do:

Preheat your oven to 300°. Mix the ingredients for your rub in a small bowl. Remove the back membrane from your ribs and sprinkle rub all over ribs. Wrap rack in aluminum foil and bake for 3 hours. While they are baking is the perfect time to make your glaze. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and you’re good to go. Once the ribs are done let them cool down for about an hour. They are already cooked and will fall off the bone if you grill them while they are still hot from the oven. One fun thing you can do is add some of the juices from the ribs to your glaze mix for more flavor. You can even bake them up to two days before and refrigerate them until you’re ready to grill.

Once you’re ready to finish the ribs turn on your grill and get it nice and hot. Grill ribs, basting with the glaze mixture and turning as necessary, until caramelized and charred in places and heated through. About 7-10 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board and cut between ribs to separate. They are now ready to serve!
