Fall is here and It’s our last chance to bust out the grill before it's too cold to set foot outside for more than 5 minutes. Burger's are one of my favorite things to eat. I love that you can now get amazingly delicious plant-based burgers that satisfy the craving and are delicious! Scroll over the image below so you can check out some of your own!

When I have friends over for burgers I love setting up a "build your own" DIY burger bar for them. A spread of yummyness so everyone can give their spin to how they like a burger. First things first I head to WalMart in Burbank to get stocked up on MorningStar Farms® Cheezeburgers. These are NEW items available in the frozen foods section at Walmart. A juicy vegan burger with gooey cheddar-style cheeze, perfect for loading up with all your favorite toppings. They cook perfectly on the grill and are not only for vegetarians. These are rockin delicious for everyone! One super cool thing they are doing is The Burger Bar Truck! It will be moving around the country and giving you the chance to try the burgers while you're out and about! Head over to the BurgerBarTruck.com to find a truck near you and find even more delicious recipe inspiration!

Now for the set up for my burger bar. I always pick a spot with great lighting and plenty of space to lay out my spread. The fun of a DIY burger bar is getting to create your own combinations! Put out your favorite burger toppings and get creative!

Here is my shopping list.

  • MorningStar Farms® Cheezeburger Value Pack

  • tomatoes

  • Butter lettuce

  • caramelized onions

  • sauteed mushrooms

  • tomato ketchup

  • mustard

Sautee the mushrooms with a little olive oil on the lowest heat for about 30 min. Cover them for the first 20 min and then let some of the water evaporate by removing the lid. I do the exact same thing for caramelized onions. Slow and low is the way to go to have all of that sweet onion flavor. You can also leave some raw onions out on the table for those guests that want the onion crunch in their burger. For presentation, place all your toppings into separate bowls and let your guests build a burger! I also love using a large wood cutting board for presentation to place those bowls for an inviting look. Get out the door right now and get your burger bar started!
